This includes Corporation Tax (CIT) at \u20b91.14-lakh crore and Personal Income Tax (PIT) at \u20b934,470 crore.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"article-bullet-list\">\n<li>\nAlso read: <b>Income Tax returns show doubling of capital gains in AY23<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The net direct tax collection of \u20b94,62,664 crore (as of June 17, 2024) includes CIT at \u20b91,80,949 crore and PIT (including Securities Transaction Tax) at \u20b92,81,013 crore, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) said in a statement.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"article-bullet-list\">\n<li>\nAlso read: <b>GST Council meeting on June 22 to discuss key taxation issues<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Refunds amounting to \u20b953,322 crore have also been issued in the FY 2024-25 till June 17, 34 per cent higher than refunds issued during the same period in the preceding year.<\/p>\n<p>For April-June 17, gross collection of direct taxes (before adjusting for refunds) stood at \u20b95.16-lakh crore compared to \u20b94.23-lakh crore in the corresponding period of the preceding financial year, showing a growth of 22.19 per cent. <\/p>\n<div class=\"share-article-section second-article-share share-article-section-mobile\">\n<div class=\"share-page\" data-title=\"Net direct tax collection rises 21% to \u20b94.62-lakh crore this fiscal\" data-url=\"https:\/\/www.thehindubusinessline.com\/economy\/net-direct-tax-collection-rises-21-to-462-lakh-crore-this-fiscal\/article68304250.ece\">\n<p><span class=\"red-text-color\"\/>SHARE\n<\/p>\n<ul class=\"share-list\" style=\"display: none;\">\n<li class=\"copy-link\" onclick=\"if (!window.__cfRLUnblockHandlers) return false;
