Wayanad and Amethi Lok Sabha Seat Results 2024: The Indian National Congress (INC) and the Gandhi family have two important seats where their reputation is stake- Wayanad in Kerala and Amethi in Uttar Pradesh. From the sitting member of Parliament and ex-Congress president, Rahul Gandhi, is contesting against K Surendran of the BJP and Annie Raja from the Communist Party of India (CPI). In Amethi, the Congress has strong challenge from BJP stalwart Smriti Irani, who is also the sitting MP from the seat. She is fighting against INC candidate, Kishori Lal Sharma.
Rahul contested from the Amethi and Wayanad seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. While he won from Wayanad, he bit dust in Amethi, where Smriti Irani pulled of a remarkable victory by 50,000 votes. We will keep giving you updates about the seats.
